December 2016 Athlete of the Month
Cathedral High School’s, David Bedich, has been named Shelbourne Knee Center’s December High School Athlete of the Month. David received his award during halftime of the Pacers versus Hornets game on Monday, 12/12/16.
K. Donald Shelbourne, MD, made the presentation along side Jeremiah Johnson, Pacers Pregame/Postgame host and sideline reporter for Fox Sports Indiana.
David, who has a 3.65 GPA, has been named All State Academic Lacrosse, has received the Schallert Academic Award, and is a member of the National Honor Society. At school, David is a member of the German Club, Latin Dance Club, Math League, Character Club, and is vice president for the Books and Bagels Club.
A four year varsity hockey team member, David was named captain this year, and received the Mark Messier Leadership Award for hockey. He is also a four year varsity Lacrosse team member, and Indiana State’s Lacrosse Champion for 2016. David also played one year of Junior Varsity tennis.
He also serves his community by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent DePaul, and Indy Twisters, an organization that teaches hockey to children with disabilities.
David plans to attend either Indiana University or Miami University of Ohio and study Business.
