April 2016 Athlete of the Month
Molly Fears, Plainfield High School, was named Shelbourne Knee Center Athlete of the Month for April. She received her award at halftime of the Pacers v. Nets game, Sunday, April 10. Dr. Don Shelbourne made the presentation, alongside Jeremiah Johnson, Pacers Pregame/Postgame host and sideline reporter for Fox Sports Indiana.
Molly holds the school record for 11 dives. Over the last three years, she has represented Plainfield High School at the state championship at the IUPUI Natatorium finishing last year as one of the top 16 divers in the state.
Molly is also involved in her senior government class, We the People, a competition based class requiring a great deal of preparation outside of class working closely with her classmates. She is involved in numerous school groups including the National Honor Society, and carries a 4.25 (weighted) GPA.
She recently signed a letter of intent to dive at the University of Louisville and major in biology. Congratulations to Molly on all her outstanding achievements and best wishes on all her future endeavors!
