November 2016 Athlete of the Month

Dean Tate, Warren Central High School, was named Shelbourne Knee Center Athlete of the Month for November 2016. He received his award during halftime of the Pacers versus Philadelphia 76ers game,  November 9.  Dr. Rodney Benner, made the presentation, alongside Jeremiah Johnson, Pacers Pregame/Postgame host and sideline reporter for Fox Sports Indiana.

Dean is a lettered member of the varsity football team, playing in the quarterback, slot, and wide receiver positions.

He is also a member of the varsity basketball team, starting as point guard, and played AAU Basketball  for Indiana Elite.

Dean has a 3.5 GPA at Warren Central and is involved in several volunteer organizations, one of which is the Warren Central Jr. League, where he volunteers as a chain or down marker at games.

Dean is a leader and team player  in sports and in the classroom. He is dedicated to his studies and plans to major in Communications in college.
