Dr. Shelbourne and Dr. Urch Speak to Students, Organizations
Earlier this month, Dr. Shelbourne was in Dusseldorf, Germany speaking to a group at an event called Knee Update. He shared three presentations: “Treatment of Meniscus Tears with ACL Reconstruction,” “Treatment of Articular Cartilage Lesions and Osteochondritis,” and “Treatment of Multiple Ligament Injuries of the Knee.”
In March, Dr. Shelbourne spoke to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, on this research topic: “Minimum 10-year follow-up of patients after acute, isolated posterior cruciate ligament injury treated nonoperatively.”
A growing number of Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Athletic Training students are getting the opportunity to learn in depth about the knee, knee conditions, and knee injuries by having our doctors come speak at their school. Students at the University of Indianapolis and Washington University (St. Louis) heard from Dr. Shelbourne, while Dr. Urch spent time on the campuses of Indiana University (Bloomington) and Jefferson Community & Technical College (Louisville).
