Dr. Benner Invited to Present at AOSSM Meeting

Posted by on July 10, 2013 in News and Events | 0 comments

Dr. Benner joins an exclusive group of physicians invited to give a podium presentation at this year’s annual meeting of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, July 11th through 14th, in Chicago. His presentation, “Return to Sports and Subsequent ACL Injury Rates after Revision ACL Reconstruction with Patellar-Tendon Autograft” was one of only a few selected for presentation at the meeting. His presentation will explain how revision ACL surgery with a patellar tendon autograft combined with a perioperative rehabilitation program allows patients to return to the same sport at the same level at a high rate, and the rate is higher than what is reported for revision surgery with hamstring grafts or allografts.

About the AOSSM: An integral part of the sports medicine community since 1972, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine is comprised of more than 3,000 national and international orthopaedic sports medicine specialists.
